About Leigh

Seek a 'mission'. Do something you love and don't worry about money. Because when work is loved, it's a joy, productive, and rewards follow.

When one fully uses your God given natural talents life just seems to fall into place. It was not planned and for whatever divine intervention or plain luck Leigh exploited his aptitudes from an early age, unknowingly sidestepping the traditional education resulting in a successful career path that was never intended.

From a young boy Leigh pursued his love of woodworking based on building sailing dinghies which prepared him for a career in Patternmaking, at the time in the 70’s this was engineered tooling for foundries using wood. Leigh was to learn his great uncle was a Patternmaker and his grandad a foundryman.

From failing high school Leigh achieved Patternmaker of Year in 1978 for Australia amongst many awards through his four-year indenture apprenticeship leading to two overseas scholarships, a Rotary Foundation Scholarship where is studied in Birmingham UK and a Victorian Overseas Scholarship where he worked in Formula One also in the UK.

An opportunity arose in 1981 to head up a project in the US and Leigh found himself in Indianapolis in 1982 where he lived until 2019 founding what was to become a respected design and manufacturing aerospace company.

He now resides in Breckenridge Colorado, travels in his endeavors to support high school students and others to their natural aptitudes leading to a joyful career and exceling at a profession that fits like a tailored glove on a hand as Leigh did.
